How can you tell the difference between St George's sword and mother-in-law's tongue?

St. George's sword (Sansevieria zeylanica) and mother-in-law's tongue (Sansevieria trifasciata laurentii) are two plants that are often confused, but you can easily tell them apart by the colour and shape of their leaves!

St. George's swords have leaves identical to mother-in-law's tongue but without the yellow colouring at the ends. In addition, St George's spear has cylindrical, rounder leaves that are green in colour and may have a more greyish tinge.

All the plants in this family (Sansevieria) are hardy and easy to care for, making them excellent options for decoration and air purification.
